Remote 3D Artist
Small Indie TeamHey! We’re an indie team making a 3D first-person multiplayer PC game in Unity, and we’re looking for a 3D artist who understands friendslop. You should know games like PEAK, R.E.P.O., Content Warning, and How To Fish, understand their appeal, and be comfortable creating stylized 3D art with personality.
The work would cover characters, environments, props, weapons, and textures, with room to help shape and maintain the game's visual style. We need someone comfortable working across the game, taking an idea and turning it into a finished asset without needing every detail drawn out beforehand.
We’re really looking for art with soul and a distinctive, consistent style. Characters, environments, and props should feel like they belong to the same world, with deliberate choices that give the game its own identity. We're specifically looking for someone who is able to develop and stick to a specific style, rather than only making generic assets that could fit into any game.
Strong 3D modelling and texturing skills are essential, including UV mapping and preparing assets for real-time games. You should be comfortable delivering Unity-ready assets alongside editable source files. Blender isn’t required, but it’s preferred since that’s what our devs are most familiar with. Rigging, skinning, shaders, and/or lighting experience is a big plus.
If you're chosen for this role, we'd work pretty casually over Discord, play builds together, and make changes quickly. We’d want you to see your work in the actual game, suggest improvements, and repeat. Your opinion on the game’s look and feel would be part of the job.
Think you're a good fit for this? We’d love to see what you’ve made, whether that’s personal projects, Steam or itch.io releases, game jams, or portfolio pieces. Please send us image examples of stylized characters, environments, and/or assets that you made. That tells us much more than a fancy CV!
