As a Senior Concept Artist at Behaviour, you will work closely with the Art Director to create visual images of ideas that will inspire the art production. You will guide 3D Character Artists through your work, as well as provide a unified vision for the game. You have significant experience in conceptualization, design and illustration of a wide range of environments, objects, characters and architectures.

In this role you will :

  • Support the Art Direction team's vision;
  • Illustrate concepts and produce reference images;
  • Take part in discussions regarding the game’s visual quality;
  • Share your work and improve it according to suggestions;
  • Adapt your art production according to the project’s needs;
  • Create sketches, studies and designs of character;
  • Communicate with production artists to clarify the concepts to achieve delivery dates;
  • Participate in meetings to share ideas and knowledge, and undertaking research and gathering of data before starting a new task to ensure effective management and achievement of the objectives by identifying the graphic requirements of the game, by having on hand all necessary reference materials, including the art direction and the technological requirements.

What we're looking for :

  • At least 3 years experience as a conceptual artist / Illustrator;
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop;
  • Knowledge of a 3D software (Maya for instance);
  • Good understanding of human anatomy;
  • Important skills in conceptual art with a good understanding of perspective, color, light and atmosphere and how to use them correctly in the reproduction of the concept;
  • Be able to quickly express the vision in terms of linear art and color image reflecting the atmosphere, the composition and interpretation;
  • Solid base for traditional arts, including figurative drawing, landscape, and illustration;
  • Be able to work in a variety of styles and specific styles, even those sometimes produced by another artist or artistic director;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Unconditional love for video games.
