Lead Environment Artist
DreadXP is looking for an experienced Lead 3D Environment Artist to help us build out the world of our Creepshow game! Our team is fully remote, spanning from California, USA to Melbourne, Australia.
As our Lead Environment Artist you’ll be a team leader collaborating across disciplines, helping define and manage the art pipeline, working with production to plan sprints and milestones, and of course creating in-game environments.
This is a remote, full-time contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, document, and maintain an environment art pipeline.
- Work with our Art Director to fully realize the stylized visual profile of Creepshow
- Provide both technical and artistic direction to more junior artists
Requirements
- Experience working as an Environment Artist in games.
- Experience leading other artists.
- Experience following a high to low poly asset pipeline.
- Advanced knowledge of 3D Art software such as Blender and Substance Painter.
- A portfolio showcasing a passion for environment art, set dressing, and texturing.
Desired Experience / Nice to Haves
- Experience working with Unity.
- Experience creating art documentation.
- Shipped/released at least one video game from start to finish.
- Familiarity with the Creepshow IP
