Do you cringe at the thought of stationary objects? Are you obsessed with bringing elegant motion and dynamic personality to everything you touch? Are your favorite games the kind that understand that good animation creates a feeling not a checkmark on a checklist?

We are looking for a special kind of animator, dedicated to embellishing the core mechanics of our game, elevating our character's personality through agency and action--not cutscenes.

The right candidate has some technical shops and knows their way around Unity. Their approach balances mind with heart, pipeline with passion. They understand that gameplay + audio + animation = agency.

Please note: we're telling a story that demands participants, not observers.

With a large portion of the game prototyped and working, we're looking to elevate our visuals and solidify our brand identity through high quality 3D modeling and animation.

We're seeking a single candidate at this time, someone who could grow into a role that blossoms with the studio, and helps define our larger creative arc. 

Hours and commitment are eventually flexible, but a 1-month contract to ascertain quality and output is the first leg of the journey.

This role is remote and available inside & outside of the US.

  • Immerse yourself in the game's world
  • Receive briefs on the assets required
  • Work to refine and create animations within an existing pipeline
  • Review current animation with Game Director to define list of needed animation assets to build a proper schedule and define expectations
  • Work in tandem with the Game Director and Programmer to improve the pipeline, integrate animations, and test results thoroughly
  • Respect gameplay needs and avoid superfluous explorations or unnecessary bloat
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Game Director or other team members respectfully and in a timely manner


  • A portfolio that shows high quality work and sensibilities compatible with the project
  • Experience with Unity animation, animator, and a variety of player controllers
  • Equal parts professionalism and passion


Hourly rates or per-asset rates are negotiable depending on experience.


  • 1-Month Probationary period consisting of 10-20 hours per week
  • Starting date is February 2023
