Betadwarf is looking for an experienced Illustrator (with a minor in concept art) that loves creating colourful, dynamic stylized art. The focus is on painting a window into our game worlds, to put the fantasy of the world and characters in the minds of players so they bring it with them in all of their interactions with our games. The goal is for you to bring your creativity and agency to the team, so you must be ready to take responsibility and help identify areas that could benefit from your talents. We want you to make your mark on our games and our team, and join a collaborative effort to raise the quality of the worlds we deliver to the players.

At Betadwarf you will join a team of skilled and companionable dwarves, continually trying to better themselves and each other while creating highly ambitious games.


  • You will split your work time between Minion Masters and Project F4E, the former being a published live service game with a dedicated fan base, the latter being our most ambitious title to date, still in production.
  • As the primary Illustrator on Minion Masters, you will work closely with the team to make card art, as well as other required in-game 2D art.
  • On Project F4E you get to use your illustration skills to create Splash Art, Character Pinups, Portraits and other 2D art required for the game (be it icons or backgrounds for loading screens) in close collaborations with the Principal Artist You will also employ your 2D concept skills in collaboration with both the character and environment art teams to help the character, prop and environment concept phase (a primarily 3d pipeline), in an effort to find alternate and interesting new solutions with the ultimate goal of making our characters and worlds unique and memorable.
  • You will work closely with the Visual Development team to conceptualize ideas for new features and worldbuilding.
  • In addition, you will be tasked with creating marketing art for out-of-game visuals, such as web or store pages.


  • A kickass portfolio showcasing great stylized art.
  • 2+ years working in the games industry in relevant 2D jobs.
  • Professional Illustration experience.
  • Strong understanding of composition, perspective and illustrative storytelling.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • An agile mindset that can handle task priorities shifting due to live demands.
  • Thrive on critical feedback and input from multiple perspectives.
  • A passion for playing and making games.


  • Professional card art for ccg-style games experience.
  • A good eye for graphic design.
  • Professional splash art experience.
  • Unity 3D experience.
  • Experience concepting for, or otherwise working on, Mobas or other top-down style games.
