As a 3D General Artist working on the Old School Team you would be responsible for a wide variety of tasks and therefore must have a wide skill set both in and outside of game art.
It is expected that you would collaborate with design closely, ensuring that you are producing artwork that is best suited to our player base and giving them the greatest experience possible. You possess technical knowledge of art pipelines and can deliver assets from software to in-game.
You would hold an understanding of environment, character and 3D art processes and an appreciation of the various design elements that ensure a successful asset including level design and mechanical purpose.
A passion for retro games and a mastery of the most basic elements of 3D will be of utmost importance in this role. Strong art fundamentals, with a focus on shape and colour will be incredibly important when creating art for OSRS.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, develop and refine 3D assets across the game. This would include characters, props and environments.
- Work with Maya and our in-house tools to produce assets and put them ingame.
- Ensure the quality thresholds and house style are maintained through all projects.
- Work with Art Seniors to develop your own creative skill set.
- Continue to develop your technical, Maya skill set.
- Work closely with Content Developers to ensure the assets are correctly implemented in the game.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
- Work with Tools Developers to troubleshoot and improve existing in-house tools.
