Animation Intern - Sledgehammer Games
As an Animation Intern, you will work with an incredible team to create in-game and cinematic animations that are believable and refined. You will complete animation tasks that contribute to the player’s understanding of characters and action, and that advance the emotional and gameplay goals of our game.
You will build relationships with people in other departments and participate in a studio culture that values collaboration and learning. You will work with a mentor on a shipping title, and earn a AAA credit in the process.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Use animation techniques to craft realistic game motions
- Respond to feedback and iterate on animations to achieve AAA levels of polish
- Keyframe animation sequences
- Clean up mocap
Player Profile
The ideal candidate for this role…
- Is proficient in Maya or Motionbuilder, or equivalent animation authoring software
- Knows the basic principles of animation and understands body mechanics
- Has some experience with keyframing, cinematics and composition, or cleaning up mocap
- Is eager to learn new skills and work collaboratively!
